RRD’s “non stop research and development” keeps on going across the whole RRD range and the 2009 RRD Boom range keeps evolving as well with 2 x top boom lines: Wave Vogue Carbon Monocoque and SuperStyle ALU Monocoque. Both lines approach the 2009 season featuring not just new graphic designs, but also highly developed details like new front end for Wave Vogue booms and new curve design for Super Style Alum booms.

Wave Vogue Carbon Monocoque Boom:

Designed to match the high level of performance of the Wave Vogue, the new Wave Vogue Carbon boom is both super lightweight and stiff with no compromises. The Wave Vogue Carbon Monocoque (one piece front end) boom features a newly developed frontend. The full pre-preg carbon reduced diameter monocoque tube is covered by super thin EVA and creates a supremely comfortable grip. A double pin extension made by carbon pre –preg fibres ensures durability and a quick and easy trim to any extension length desired, without a loss of boom stiffness. It also has a completely new curve and design in 2009.

Super Style ALU Monocoque Boom:

Designed to cover a great range of use in freestyle, freestyle wave and freeride sails. With its monocoque construction, the Super Style boom allows your boom to have a superior stiffness without the need of using a carbon construction. A completely new revised curve and grip design ensures a high level of comfort and is suitable for a huge range of sails.
